London is one of my most favorite places in the world. I have traveled to a few places around the world, but there really is no place like home * clicks my red Dorothy shoes*.

On a random Wednesday night, i accompanied my friend and music blogger Casey  (franklycasey) last-minute to watch the amazing Noname and Mick Jenkins, in order for her to write a review of the night (which you can read here! Mick Jenkins: Village Underground sold out show). The vibe was eclectic, the music was wavy and the smell of trees floated through the air. The feeling of actually being spontaneous, breaking free from my work, sleep, eat, repeat routine was energizing; and being with one of my best friends made the night something to remember. Sometimes you get so caught up grinding, learning and simply trying to get your life in order that you forget what it’s like to be young, wild and free ( word to Wiz, Snoop & Bruno Mars).

But this isn’t where the night ended…

Being the explorers we are Case and I, decided that the only thing left to do, in order to seal the night as a complete success was to… get bagels of course! Google Maps safely got us to the ‘Beigel Shop’ on Brick Lane (which is open 24 hours may I add), where we indulged in warm salami and cheese bagels and red velvet cupcake greatness. I really need to go on a diet now, because i could feel the greasy goodness flowing straight to my love handles. Anyhow…We ended up walking from Shoreditch, down to Brick Lane, down to Aldgate East and back to London Liverpool street ( yes we got lost, no we do not have the greatest navigation skills, however it made is a night to remember).

However I say all that to say this, be spontaneous, drink water, spread love and live life. Even on a WEDNESDAY!
